RSF Lending Manager Shobna Dhewant recently contributed commentary to a Fair Trade Federation document entitled “The Credit Crisis and Fair Trade.” She offers some advice to social enterprises during this potentially challenging time. In times like these, businesses might find themselves “under pressure from conventional lenders,” and a lender like RSF Social Finance (i.e., one that understands the unique needs of high social impact enterprises) is one of very few safe ports in the storm. We thank all of our investors for allowing us to continue to provide capital for projects, including fair trade borrowers Numi Tea and Odegard.
