“The White House Green Agenda”
In early January, President Obama’s Transition Team called upon several leaders in the field of social finance, including RSF CEO Don Shaffer, to provide advice, ideas & priorities for the new administration regarding the world of sustainable business. RSF grantee Green America (formerly Co-op America) published the ambitious goals and hopes that they brought to the table in an article on SustainableBusiness.com. Strongly resonating with RSF’s values was one of their major objectives for “Transformational Economic System Thinking.” Alisa Gravitz, Executive Director of Green America, raised the point to the Transition Team that “Rather than having a goal of “fixing” the economic crisis to “get back to the way things were,” this crisis marks the end of an era and the opportunity to move forward with new economic thinking.” To read the full article, please click here.
