Mr. Jones Goes to Washington
Van Jones, founder of Green For All (recent recipient of $3M in grants through RSF Social Finance), is moving to Washington, DC, to take on the role of Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Stepping into Jones’ shoes at Green For All is Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins, an “economic justice powerhouse” who most recently has been the head of the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council and Working Partnerships USA. In an email to the Green For All base, Jones explained that his job in the Obama White House “will be to help shape the administration’s energy and climate policy, so that climate solutions produce jobs and justice for all Americans.” To read full press releases from Green For All and the White House, click here.
