The IC20 and Upcoming Investors’ Circle Conference
The Investors’ Circle fall conference, taking place November 15 – 17, will have a new home this year at the Willard InterContinental in Washington, DC. RSF is proud to sponsor the conference, which is a premier meeting place for social entrepreneurs, investors, business professionals, foundations, nonprofits, and those passionate about creating a sustainable economy. Attendees can expect valuable workshops, a ground-breaking venture fair, compelling speakers and interactive breakouts. Investors’ Circle also just announced the IC20, an index of the top 20 most impactful companies that have received funding through its network since 1992. RSF borrowers Numi Tea and SPUD made the top five, and three other borrowers, Sambazon, IceStone, and Rustic Crust, were among the 20 chosen from roughly 200 companies. IC co-director Deb Parsons spoke highly of all 20, saying “These companies stand as shining examples of the potential of social enterprise, proving that a focus on sustainability and social impact need not compromise profitability and that socially responsible investment can result in substantial internal and external return.”
