SF Chronicle Features World of Good
Today’s San Francisco Chronicle features a front-page story on RSF borrower World of Good and their commitment to fair trade. World of Good’s mission is to create opportunities for thousands of marginalized artisans around the world to gain access to a rapidly growing segment of consumers who are looking to make informed, educated, and socially responsible decisions when they shop. RSF CEO Don Shaffer is quoted in the Chronicle article regarding RSF’s lending support for the social enterprise as it has worked through issues around paying the artisan producers during tough economic times. World of Good’s sister nonprofit, the World of Good Development Organization, to which they funnel 10% of their profits, is also an RSF grantee.
