Intuition & Money 2011
Lifebridge Foundation, RSF Social Finance, Hawthorne Valley Association, and Triskeles Foundation, in cooperation with Intuition in Service
Invite you to a collaborative inquiry:
Intuition & Money
June 3-5, 2011
Lifebridge Sanctuary
Rosendale, NY
We will start with a reception at 5:30pm on Friday, June 3rd and will end after lunch on Sunday, June 5th.
The themes for this year’s gathering are:
- Building a shared understanding of a new economic story as we develop it through our personal and organizational lives, as well as in the lives of our communities, in the nation and the world
- Experiencing the value of group intuition as a source for inspiration, renewal, and inner preparation for emerging challenges
- The transformative power of focused, shared, intuition-led inquiry
We will be working with the following leading questions throughout the time together:
- How might intuition help us as we find a new relationship with uncertainty in: the climate, economics, our inner life…?
- How can we think about and work with money intuitively in a way that makes for a healthy future?
- What gifts does intuition offer the evolution of a local-regional living economy?
- Can we develop a cosmological economics, one reaching past social benefit to spiritual impact?
During the gathering, we will:
- Have some guided meditation time
- Explore what intuitive experience is for each of us
- Take time to connect to the beauty and voice of the Lifebridge Sanctuary land
- Have a chance to walk or work on the labyrinth
- Invite participation in differing forms of creative and co-creative expression
- Make time for conversation in small groups
- Practice building collective wisdom as an intuitive group process
- Remain open to the emergent—insight, leadership, and humor
It is our hope to bring about the following outcomes:
- The value of inquiry through the path of intuition has led to new insights.
- Understanding how each of us can serve others, the group, and our communities as awakeners.
Environment of Co-creation by, for, and with the Facilitators—John Bloom, Katrina Steffek, Clemens Pietzner, Barbara Valocore, Steve Nation, and others as they emerge:
- We enter this process being open to and respectful of the presence and authenticity of intuition as experienced by each participant. We expect to deepen our own understandings as a result of the inquiry, sharing and dialogue that will occur
- One expectation for our work together is to create an open space environment, focused on the intuition as a guiding force for understanding money and our relationship to it
- We will each be leading different sections of the meeting. We will each try to: be open to the sense and direction of the group, ensure that each personal story is heard and given respect, value silence as it arises, maintain a safe container, be open to others’ leadership, and, where appropriate, remind the group of the focus of the inquiry
- We assume that those who participate will plan to be with the inquiry and group for the full time of the gathering
Financial Support for this Inquiry:
First and foremost we imagined the invitations to this gathering as regional to reduce environment impact and travel costs. We are encouraging the idea of calling similar gatherings in other regions pending interest and appropriate sponsorship, and are offering to share what we have learned with those emergent conveners.
We believe there is a need for this inquiry to take place and intend to demonstrate full transparency during the planning stage and at the meeting. With this in mind Lifebridge and RSF and other conveners have committed to covering the housing and food costs ($250 per person total) and we hope that participants can cover the cost of their own travel to Lifebridge Sanctuary in the Hudson Valley of New York. Further, we recognize that the value of a true invitation resides in making sure that such costs do not unintentionally exclude anyone who is drawn to this deep inquiry. In this spirit, we hope that anyone who sees the significance of this meeting would consider making a gift to Lifebridge or RSF to support the inquiry and to provide a reserve for travel assistance for those who need it. As we move forward in our planning, we will know if funds will be available for those who really need it.
