Jocelyn Romero Demirbag
Jocelyn Romero Demirbag became a Trustee in 2015. She was the Administrator at Haleakala Waldorf School on Maui for 16 years and is now the Administrative Director at the Honolulu Waldorf School. She serves as the Co-chair for the Development and Administrative Network of the Association of Waldorf Schools and is a board member of the Hawaii Council of Private Schools. She was also a Co-founder of the Maui Independent Schools Organization. Jocelyn is especially interested in school accreditation and licensing work, as well as the triangular relationship between the spiritual nature of a school, its location, and its identity. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University and her master’s degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley. In 2014, she completed her doctorate in Professional Educational Practice at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and continues to research and publish her writing.
