Mark Finser serves as Chair of the Board of RSF Social Finance. To further RSF’s work in building the field of social finance, in 2015 Mark also began serving as Executive Chair of Capital Management, Public Benefit Corporation, a subsidiary entity of RSF. Mark was a founding member of the group that revitalized RSF in 1984, and served as President & CEO of RSF until 2007. During his tenure, Mark grew the organization’s assets to over $120M. Mark also works with a select group of high net worth individuals and families to develop a values statement and strategy to deploy their financial resources in a way that reflects their values. He is often asked to serve as an independent Trustee for families and multigenerational beneficiaries. Mark is a presenter in the U.S. and abroad on all aspects of the emerging social-finance arena. He is an active member of the social finance community, serving as a founding board member and Chairman of New Resource Bank. He was also a member of the founding board of B Lab. Mark is an advisor to the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE). Mark also serves on the board of Ginungagap Foundation and the Yggdrasil Land Foundation, a land trust he helped found that holds land around the United States for organic and biodynamic farming for the next generation of farmers. His interests include biodynamic agriculture, integrative medicine, and meditation. He lives in Mill Valley, California, with his wife and family.
