Founded in 1983, the Nelson Waldorf School is part of a growing community of schools that embrace the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925). Out of his concern for the new generation of school children emerging from the devastation of the first World War, Emil Molt founded the first Waldorf School in 1919 in Stuttgart, Germany. With a full K-8 program, the Nelson Waldorf School offers a comprehensive curriculum of academic rigor, artistic excellence, and ethical development.
