Ryan Marie Decker
Ryan is based in New Mexico where she recently led the New Mexico Impact Investing Collaborative, an 18-month pilot project exploring an innovative place-based impact investing model. She works with asset owners on impact investment strategy and execution and is actively supporting local ecosystem and infrastructure development to catalyze and scale capital deployment to mission-driven enterprises throughout the state. Ryan is an experienced investment professional having worked on investment teams at institutional asset managers including the global reinsurer Swiss Re, global fund-of-funds Man Group plc, and a multi-billion private family office based in Switzerland. Ryan’s impact investing experience includes working with the UK’s development finance institution, CDC Group plc based in London, and early-stage impact investment managers and ventures across the agriculture, education, conservation and microfinance sectors. Throughout her career Ryan has covered public and private market investment strategies across both developed and emerging markets. Ryan graduated from the Huntsman Program in International Studies & Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 2001 where she specialized in Public Policy & Management and French, and studied abroad in St. Louis, Sénégal. In 2013 she completed the Oxford Impact Investing Programme at the Saïd School of Business. Ryan grew up in the Rocky Mountains near Boulder, Colorado and has lived in Japan, France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. She is most passionate about our natural environment and empowering women.
