The RSF Social Investment Fund forms the core of our lending activity, providing capital to high-impact organizations that often cannot find financing elsewhere. Since 1984, RSF has maintained a 100% repayment rate – plus interest – to our community of investors, and has made over $275 million in loans to social enterprises through this program. Historical rates of return are similar to those of a bank CD.

RSF found its niche providing mortgage loans to Waldorf Schools, serving as the primary financier to this community for twenty years. Lending within the emerging field of values-based, for-profit enterprises is a natural extension of RSF’s expertise and commitment to building the field of social finance.
