What We Value

Underlying all our work is a spirited conversation about the role our monetary system should play in the development of humanity.

Purpose & Values

RSF Social Finance frames all of its work in terms of an overarching Purpose informed by a set of core Values. The Purpose statement answers the question, "Why do we exist?" The Values statements answer the question, "What do we believe to be true?"

Operating Principles

Our Operating Principles help us translate our Purpose and Values into concrete actions. They answer the question, “How do we prioritize our activities?”

Focus Areas

Our three focus areas - Food & Agriculture, Education & the Arts, and Ecological Stewardship - consider the long-term impact our investments have on the market as a whole, and the people and places affected by our investments in particular.

Inspiration

Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) was an Austrian philosopher and scientist whose work influenced a number of fields, including agriculture, education, medicine, science, architecture, spiritual development, and social theory. In 1922, he gave a course of lectures on economics, which served as the framework of associative economic ideas that inspired the founding of RSF Social Finance.
