This year marks the fourth annual COCAP conference. The theme this year is Building The We Economy. The conference will examine strategies for building a local regenerative economy that creates equity and well being for all. It will highlight community wealth building innovations that are working toward leveling the playing field. Along with learning what we need to do, to create a fair and inclusive economy, the conference will discuss who we need to be to truly build the “We Economy”.

Soil 2o17 be exploring everything from soil biology to human health to investing in local food systems. Two full days of speaker presentations and discussions, including a special evening program: a talk by Winona LaDuke, and a showing of the new documentary on Wendell Berry’s life.

This four-day conference aims to generate visions of a future in which land, wealth and power are equitably distributed. MMMC is a confidential space that uses workshops, storytelling and skill building to create a space for young people with class privilege and wealth to explore questions of identity and responsibility in a supportive environment. MMMC programming is dynamic and specific to young people with wealth who are interested in social justice. If you are just starting to think about identity and social change MMMC is a great space for you! It’s also a great conference to attend if you have been grappling with these issues for some time, and want to do that work in community. We’ll explore a range of topics from creating a giving plan for distributing resources to the dynamics of being in cross-class relationships and communities.
