Funding for resilient food systems

Since 2011, the Food System Transformation Fund has provided over $6 million in loans. We’re the lender of choice for those seeking a values-aligned partner because of our expertise, ability to structure loans that truly meet enterprises’ needs, and commitment to direct and personal relationships.

Who Qualifies

The Food System Transformation Fund provides loan capital to enterprises that are providing critical infrastructure services to support the development of resilient, regional food systems in the United States.

We support organizations that provide aggregation, processing, distribution, and/or market access for farming enterprises. We also work with organizations that provide farmers with access to farmland and training services.

RSF serves social enterprises that meet these general criteria:

18 months or more of operating history

Incorporated in the United States

Needs range from $50,000 to $400,000

Annual revenue of $500k or more

Collateral to support the loan (e.g. equipment, accounts receivable)

Profitable, or can demonstrate a path to profitability in 18 months

Loan Options

We offer equipment and mortgage loans and working capital lines of credit.
