Dara Westling (she/her) leads Investor Relations for TechSoup's Growth Capital Campaign, an $11.5M raise, relying on the SEC's Regulation A+/Tier II exemption. TechSoup, a nonprofit social enterprise, has matched changemakers with over $13.1B in tech donations and services in 200+ countries and territories worldwide. Dara previously served on TechSoup's executive team, supporting a variety of global initiatives. In addition, she has consulted and advised on crowdinvesting projects, including Guerrilla Development's mixed-use development project, Jolene's First Cousin, which was designed, in part, to help address Portland's growing homelessness problem. She has also served on a crowdfunding advisory committee at the State of Oregon's Division of Financial Regulation to explore the evolution of crowdfunding exemptions. In addition, Dara recently co-founded the Oregon Impact Capital Roundtable (OICR) in collaboration with Catalyst Law. OICR is a gathering of entrepreneurs, technicians and investors interested in supporting a vibrant and inclusive economy in Oregon. OICR convenings are a resource for learning about financial innovation and also a space to collectively evaluate systemic barriers underserved entrepreneurs face when seeking capital. Dara currently serves on the board of The Transitions Project and is a member of Business for a Better Portland. A small business owner, Dara has a MBA, a master’s in public and international affairs, and a certificate in impact investing.
