Keoni Lee is the CEO of Hawai'i Investment Ready, a 501(c)3 nonprofit intermediary with a mission to advance the impact sector in Hawai'i through capacity and relationship building programs and services. HIR’s flagship program is its social enterprise accelerator that is working at the nexus of culture, business, and purpose. Keoni participated in HIR’s first accelerator cohort in 2013 as a co-founder of 'Oiwi TV, the first and only Native Hawaiian language and culture television station. As a native storyteller, he has had the privilege and honor to learn from and work in native communities across Hawai'i and around the world. These stories and relationships to people and culture have shaped his perspective and drive his work to shift contemporary structures of power by being grounded in indigenous knowledge and values. Keoni is active in community work and initiatives around decolonizing education, food systems, and the economy. He is a co-leader of the 'Aina Aloha Economic Futures initiative – an indigenous-led mainstream movement calling out and addressing the inequities, injustices, and unsustainability of Hawai'i’s economy. Keoni resides in Palolo, O'ahu with his wife and two children. To maintain physical, mental, and spiritual health he likes to fish, surf, CrossFit, meditate, and grow food.
