Marquis Harmon is a serial entrepreneur & cofounder of Gracepoint PBC, a Texas Public Benefit corp focused on creating regenerative social-economic models. He is a self-published author and has been speaking professionally since 2012 as a youth advocate and leadership development specialist. Topics of high interest to him are community development, entrepreneurship and Social Justice & prison reform in the United States of America. He has presented at the 2016 UN Syrian Refugee Hackathon in Istanbul, Turkey, UN COP22 Global Climate Change Summit in Marrakech, Morocco, Hive @ Harvard Business School and is a resident facilitator and member of Hive Global Leaders community. He is extremely passionate about driving creative strategies for the regeneration of social-economies across the US’ rural and African American communities in particular. He considers the work of leading the Second Chances Program of New Directions Treatment Center in Danville, Illinois his most favorable work. There, he assisted men and women who had either a felony criminal conviction and or served prison time with attaining sustainable work, GED certifications, college credits, housing, and self-development modules.
