Toxic Free NC

Grant provided by the Local Food Capital Collaborative www.toxicfreenc.org
Toxic Free NC was founded in 1996 to fight pesticide pollution and advocate for environmental health in North Carolina by engaging citizens in the transition to a toxic-free society. Programs are focused in two areas: Toxic Free Kids which serves as a watchdog and advocate for child-protecting legislation and trains childcare centers on pesticide safety; and the Just and Sustainable Agriculture program designed to protect human and environmental health from toxic substances and practices utilized in “conventional” agriculture.
