Katrina serves as Chief Operating Officer at RSF Social Finance where she oversees Client & Community Engagement, Philanthropic Services, Human Resources & Facilities, Marketing, and Information Systems with a special focus on cross-team collaboration. She ensures that there is a vibrant connection between RSF’s products/services, its unique organizational culture, and its mission to create financial relationships that are direct, transparent, personal and focused on long-term social, economic and ecological benefit. In recent years she has been instrumental in developing RSF’s Integrated Capital approach – the coordinated use of debt, equity, grants, and non-financial resources to meet the needs of social entrepreneurs. Her previous areas of expertise include meeting and retreat facilitation, leadership development, human resource management, event planning, agricultural land trust administration, and non-profit corporate governance. Before joining RSF in 2004, Katrina held positions with the UC San Diego Ethnic Studies Department, City of San Diego Planning Department, UC San Diego Food Cooperative, and San Diego Environmental Health Coalition. She also served on the board of GirlVentures for five years and is passionate about the empowerment of women and girls and furthering women’s leadership in the fields of finance and social enterprise. She graduated with honors from UC San Diego with a BA in Urban Studies & Planning and from University of San Francisco with a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree.
