Essie Bishop

As Senior Associate, Essie is responsible for the day-to-day management of gifts and grants at RSF. Driven by a passion for positive change, Essie brings 20+ years of experience in financial management, administration, and fundraising to her work. For nearly a decade, she led the Charter Foundation (supporting Sebastopol Charter School), an RSF borrower and investor. In this role, she oversaw a $9.5M portfolio and spearheaded multiple strategic initiatives, such as solar energy adoption and investment diversification. Her direct experience with RSF’s systems coupled with her participation in RSF events and media, demonstrates her strong connection to the organization. She’s passionate about leveraging her skills and experience to further RSF’s impact on creating a more just and equitable world. A Sonoma County native, Essie enjoys spending time with her family exploring the natural world.
