Prior to RSF, Deb was executive director of Social Venture Network (SVN), a community of mission-driven entrepreneurs and investors. Before leading SVN, Deb worked for Working Assets/CREDO Mobile, and American Express. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon. Deb has a BA in English and an MBA from Northwestern University. When she’s not at RSF, she enjoys exploring the Bay Area with her sons and serving as mentor-in-residence at Presidio Graduate School.

Don has served as President & CEO of RSF Social Finance since 2007. He grew up in central New Jersey, and comes from a long ancestry of Quaker farmers and small business people in and around Philadelphia. Don lives in Berkeley, California with his wife Jennifer and their two children, Sabine and Samuel. He graduated from Cornell University with a BA in American History.
Don has been a social entrepreneur for many years, growing a for-profit education business, a software company, and a sporting goods manufacturer, in addition to a non-profit, the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies.
As leaders in social finance, Don and the team at RSF seek to transform the way the world works with money. In a world where our financial system can be described as complex, opaque, and anonymous, based on short-term outcomes, RSF is constantly asking the question, “How can we model financial transactions that are direct, transparent, and personal, based on long-term relationships?” Under Don’s leadership, RSF’s total assets have grown 40% in the past three years, to over $160 million.

John guides the organizational culture at RSF. The purpose of organizational culture is to tend to the reflective capacities of RSF, including how we articulate and practice our values in internal relationships and with our clients, how we learn as an organization, and how we manifest those values and practices through our public voice.
John has worked with over 100 non-profits over the last several years in the areas of capacity building and culture change. He has led many workshops, lectured, and written about aspects of money and governance for non-profits. John has founded two non-profits, served as a trustee on several (including Yggdrasil Land Foundation), and worked as the administrator at an independent school before joining RSF. He has written extensively on many aspects of charitable organizations, associative economics, life as an active member of a 29 year old biodynamic CSA, and on the topics of money and philanthropy, including The Genius of Money—Essays and Interviews Reimagining the Financial World. He lives in San Francisco.

Katrina serves as Chief Operating Officer at RSF Social Finance where she provides vision and guidance to the Client Engagement, Social Enterprise Lending Business Development, Philanthropic Services, and Marketing teams. She partners with other senior leaders to guide the effective use of organizational resources and the achievement of strategic priorities. She ensures that there is a vibrant connection between RSF’s products/services, its organizational culture, and its purpose to transform the way the world works with money from transactions to relationships. In recent years she has been instrumental in developing RSF’s unique Integrated Capital approach to funding and supporting catalytic social enterprises. Her previous areas of expertise include meeting and retreat facilitation, leadership development, human resource management, event planning, agricultural land trust administration, and non-profit corporate governance. Before joining RSF in 2004, Katrina held positions with the UC San Diego Ethnic Studies Department, City of San Diego Planning Department, UC San Diego Food Cooperative, and San Diego Environmental Health Coalition. She also served on the board of GirlVentures for five years and is passionate about the empowerment of women and girls, and women’s leadership in the fields of finance and social enterprise. She graduated with honors from UC San Diego with a BA in Urban Studies & Planning and received a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree from the University of San Francisco.

Kelley is responsible for directing all components of RSF’s Philanthropic Services Program while working closely with our client community. She leads the Shared Gifting work as well as RSF’s effort to make visible the role of gift in our economic system.
