RSF Social Finance has selected its fourth cohort of Integrated Capital Institute Fellows (ICI). Soon, these 28 financial professionals will begin an intensive program designed to provide the connections and strategies they’ll need to help values-driven philanthropists and investors deploy capital for lasting social and environmental benefit.
Launched in 2017, ICI is the first program for financial practitioners who want to focus on integrated capital. Fellows will learn to apply RSF’s integrated capital approach: the coordinated use of diverse forms of capital (including loans, loan guarantees, investments, and grants), network connections, and advisory services to support enterprises that are solving complex social and environmental problems.
RSF has modeled this approach for over 30 years and is committed to supporting the next generation of financial activists to catalyze the flow of money and create an economy that works for all people and the planet.
The program begins November 16 with a five-day virtual immersion. Other immersions will take place at EarthRise at IONS Retreat Center in Petaluma, California and Paicines Ranch in Paicines, California.
The core team of ICI faculty, advisors, and facilitators include Akaya Windwood of WiseBridge, Joel Solomon of Renewal Funds, Esther Park of Cienega Capital, Dana Bezerra of the Heron Foundation, Dawn McGee of Goodworks Ventures, and Deb Nelson and Tina Beck of RSF Social Finance.
The fellows, diverse in age, ethnicity, geography, and economic background, will become part of an influential and innovative network of people who are fundamentally rethinking the purpose of wealth.
