Seeding new and
impactful organizations

The RSF Seed Fund provides small unrestricted grants-between $500 and $3,500-to new organizations that respond to community needs and are committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Grantees must demonstrate a capacity for effectiveness and impact in addressing their cause.

Organizations or projects eligible for a Seed Fund grant meet the following criteria:

• Are a 50l(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit or fiscally sponsored project

• Are within the first two years of operation

• Are based in the United States and are working in the United States, including US Territories

The fund is modest in size and supported annually by unrestricted gifts to RSF rather than from an endowment. Requests for grants far exceed resources available, so please ensure that your organization meets the eligibility criteria before applying.

RSF's Seed Fund application period for 2020 has closed. Please check back in January 2021.
