Seeding new and
impactful initiatives

The RSF Seed Fund provides small grants—between $500 and $3,500—to organizations that offer innovative solutions to challenges in the areas of social finance, food & agriculture, education & the arts, or climate & environment. Grantees must demonstrate a capacity for effectiveness and impact in addressing their cause.

Organizations or projects eligible for a Seed Fund grant meet the following criteria:

• Are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit or fiscally sponsored project

• Are based in the United States and are working in the United States

• Are a new initiative, program, or project

The fund is modest in size and supported annually by unrestricted gifts to RSF rather than from an endowment. Requests for grants far exceed resources available, so please ensure that your project meets the eligibility criteria before applying.

The application process is now closed. Please check back in January 2020 for the next application round.
