Choose Love is working around the clock with partners on the ground in Turkey and Syria to direct donations where they are needed most.
As of February 13, over 37,000 people have lost their lives and many are still missing. Since the earthquake, Choose Love has committed $2,600,000 to 22 local organizations across affected regions. The biggest needs now include food, shelter, fuel, medical supplies and psychological help.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that the challenge is now making sure that people who survived the earthquake continue to survive in worsening, horrific conditions, with disrupted access to shelter, water, fuel, electricity and communications. Indeed, the UN has stated that urgency is now switching to providing shelter, food, schooling and psychosocial care.
